“Give, and it shall be given unto you …For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38). What is “it?” “It” simply means what you give you get. You reap what you sow. If you don’t give it – you don’t get it. Give love receive love or give hate receive hate. You determine what you get by what you give. “It” does not just refer to money but “it” also refers to what you can give without cost.

The world needs you more than temporal things you can give. The best things in life are not things. Don’t love things, but love people. God is only interested in people so invest in people and the returns can be great. Be a blessing. You may not have much of value, but you can make yourself valuable. Be generous by giving of yourself.

Give because much has been given unto you.  Don’t give to keep but give to get so you can give more. What can you give? Be generous…Give kindness to the undeserving because you were also undeserving. Give love to the unwanted and unloved. Give “more” love to those who are unlovable because they need love the most. Give a hug get a hug because everyone loves a hug. Give friendship get a friend because everyone needs a friend. Give a smile get a smile. Give a kind word get kind words. Give appreciation get appreciation. Give encouragement get encouraged. Give honor get honor. Give praise get praise.  Give pleasant thoughts get pleasure. Give cheer and get cheerful. Give positive thoughts and you reverse negativity. Give praise and you will impact others.  Give hope get hope.  Give happiness get joy. Give love get love. Give prayers and you will avail much.

As you give, you will realize the true purpose of life.  As your life fades, others will not forget your giving moments. Loving moments make lasting memories. Give as you would give unto the Lord. “For I … hundred … ye gave me meat: I was thirsty … ye gave me drink: I was a stranger … ye took me in: Naked … ye clothed me: I was sick …ye visited me: I was in prison … ye came unto me … the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw thee …? And the King (Lord) shall answer … Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matt. 35-40). Leave a legacy of love. Your compassionate giving makes a difference. “Some having compassion making a difference” (Jude 22). So let’s make a difference.  You will be glad you did and so will others.

Be generous – Give
