James says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him” (James 1:5). If any of you (including Deaf) need wisdom, ask God to give you wisdom. You have not because you ask not. “Wisdom is the quality of having correct experience, knowledge, good judgment, and discernment.” (Webster). Some are educated but not wise. Some think they are wiser than God. Also, just because you are a leader, hearing, deaf, older, educated does mean you have wisdom. The Bible says that God “may give unto you the spirit of wisdom” (Eph1:17). We need to ask the Lord to open our eyes of understanding (Eph. 1:18). As we know – we grow. When we stop knowing – we stop growing. The Word transforms and teaches us the way we should go (1 Peter 2:2; Rom. 12:1-2). The Scriptures and the Holy Spirit teach us to become wiser. A wise person will seek the right ways of God. A foolish person chooses the world. A wise person is faithful to God. He follows the Lord in the way he should go (Pr. 3:5-6). Are you foolish? Are you wise? Deaf can be wise!
