Peter asked the Lord, “How often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times?” Jesus answered, “Not seven times but seventy times seven.” Some Christian deaf think they can limit how often to forgive others. Jesus says there is no limit in forgiveness. Jesus told Peter to forgive 7X70 = 490 times. This means if they are truly sorry and ask you to forgive them – you should forgive them. Remember, Jesus Christ forgives you and you should forgive others. Do not be bitter or have a grudge. Learn to forgive and be a kind Christian. Do not keep score until 490 times, but easily and quickly forgive. One boy thought: “490 times, but when he does me wrong 491 times I will beat him up.” It does not mean that. Do not try to get even. Do not keep score. Stop being mad and become glad. Do not be bitter, be better. Deaf Christians are not perfect, just forgiven. We all make mistakes. Our personalities at times may offend. It is never right to be mean or rude. It is not right to pout and be bitter. All deaf people, singles, teens, married couples and even old people should try to be good Christians. Try to be kind and soft hearted. Learn to say, “I am sorry,” or “I forgive you.” When you forgive, you should forget. I have seen some Deaf people refuse to forgive others. This is wrong. When you are bitter, you hurt yourself and you cannot be happy. The Lord has forgiven you, so you should forgive others.
