A few weeks ago, I was watching our youngest two grandchildren. I always enjoy having them come to visit. Our daughter and son-in-law have done a wonderful job teaching and training their children. They are on a good schedule and they are happy with the schedule. One thing they have been taught is how to pray. At mealtimes and before bed we pray. It truly touched my heart to hear our 4-year-old granddaughter pray to God as if He were sitting at the table. She told God how awesome and good He is to us. It is obvious that He is precious to her. She has incredible child-like faith. She is not yet saved, but she loves her stories. I try to tell her about the importance of the Bible. I told her that “Bible” means book. God has given His holy book, which is information and stories about Himself. From Genesis to Revelation, everything is important. It is all important information about God. He told us how to live and what our purpose is to be here on earth.

The purpose of the Bible is that we might know that God has a special plan for our lives. Part of that plan is for us to receive Jesus as our Savior. Jesus paid for our sins, and all the wrong things we have ever done. I know that someday soon she will quickly accept this free gift that Jesus has offered her. She loves to sing about the Lord. She loves to hear stories from the Bible. She loves to pray to God. I know that He also has a very special plan for this little girl to do great and mighty things for Him. He has that kind of plan for every child! As a mother and grandmother (Mammy), I desire to do all that I can to continue to share Jesus with her and all of our grandchildren. I love my Bible. It thrills my soul to see our grandchildren love the Holy Bible as well. It is the love letter from our Heavenly Father who loved us enough to send His one and only Son to die for us. I never want to stop telling our grandchildren and the world what He means to me! This is written from my heart to your heart!
