With hurricanes, tornadoes, raging fires, mud slides, flooding, severe storms, stock market crashes, divorces, drugs, crime, church splits, nuclear crises, terrorist threats, political correctness, partisan politicians, climate change, un-united America and an unknown vicious, vigorous, volatile, vulnerable verifiable, vehement, and vile virus, this seems to be the right time for America to come together as one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Is this the right time for America to put aside political and personal differences and come together as the United States of America? For “all” means everyone in America, not just a select few. “All” consists of over 300 million people who are just common people united together with one common cause, “God Bless America, Again.”

Thank God for our government, federal and state leaders. But America is controlled and composed of common people who want what is best for America. Abraham Lincoln said, “God must have loved the common man because he made so many of us.” Is this the time for the “common people” of America to do an “uncommon” thing and simply turn to God for His blessings upon America? Think about it! “Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).

I am not a physician or politician but just a common man, as you, thinking, “Could these verses be for such a time as this.” “If (condition) my people, which are called by my name, shall (1) humble themselves, and (2) pray, and (3) seek my face, and (4) turn from their wicked ways; then will (1) I hear from heaven, and will (2) forgive their sin, and will (3) heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).  Is this the right verse at the right time for our country? God says that if we will do four things that He will do three things. Thank God for our government, doctors, medical teams, and caregivers. But could this be the time we should humble ourselves, pray, turn from our sins, and seek His face so He will hear, will forgive, and will heal our land?

As we face the unknown, we need to face the known God who can heal our land. Let’s do our part and see if God will do his part. As John F. Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country?” What can we do for our country? We can’t hold hands, but we can unite together in heart. Let’s pray for one another and pray for our country to be healed. I need you, you need me, and we all need God. Let’s all pray together now! Is this the right time?

Remember the pen is mightier than the sword.

This may be the “right time” to forward this to others. – TC
