“In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth… And God said, Let us make man in our image” (Gen. 1:1; 25-27). It now seems that man has created God in their image. Some have replaced God with their own images and thinking. They ignore God and do what seems right in their own eyes (Jdg. 17:6). One professor said, “Well, I have just proved that there is nothing absolute.” A student asked, “Are you absolutely sure?” As babies, we are as new computers, needing knowledge to be put within us. We only know what we know and there is always much more that we do not know. A student asked, “Pastor, how did you get all your knowledge?” He smiled and told the student to wet his finger and stick it into the dry sandy beach. Then he said, “The sand you now have on your finger is how much knowledge I have. The remaining sand on the beach is all that I still do not know.” Our knowledge is limited without full understanding. Think: Can you change gravity, seasons, sunrises, sunsets, or even the air you presently breathe? Think: At one time you were wrong, and you could be wrong again. Can you really trust your eternal soul with your present knowledge? You may not trust yourself, but you can trust the absolute Scriptures of God.
The Bible is God revealed in a book. God put within you an empty and longing soul that only He can fill with His peace and presence (Psa. 107:9). Listen to your inner instincts! No one is born without sin – No one! (Rom. 5:12). No one has a good excuse to God – No one! (Rom. 2:1). No one is justified by the law or works – No one! (Gal. 3:11). No one is saved without the Gospel – No one! (Rom. 1:16). No one can spiritually grow without the Word – No one! (1 Peter 2:2). No one can serve without the Spirit – No one! (1 Cor. 12:3). No one can serve two masters – No one! (Matt. 6:24). No one can eradicate the flesh – No one! (Rom. 7:17). No one can go to Heaven without Christ – No one! (John 14:6). No one can exist without God – No one! (Col. 1:17). No one escapes judgment – No one! (Heb. 9:27). No one is too bad to be saved – No one! (1Tim. 1:15). No one should neglect salvation – No one! (Heb. 2:3). No one knows when Jesus will return – No one! (Matthew 24:36). No one regrets being saved – No one! (Luke 10:20; Rev. 21:4-5). No one is exempt – No One! (Rom. 14:12). Why do you think you will be an exception? Are you really an exception? “Are you absolutely sure?” No one means no one!
