Description
GOD WAS LEADING HER TO CHINA AND NO MAN WOULD STOP HER.
British parlormaid Gladys Aylward couldn’t put mainland
China out of her mind. But when the China Inland Mission
rejected her application, she had to find her own way there,
trusting God with every step.
Her dependence on God would support her through nearly
forty years of ministry until her death in 1970. Enduring threats
on her life and perils of war, Aylward lived an adventure for
Jesus that is one of the great missionary stories of our time.
Still, she praised God that “one so insignificant, uneducated,
and ordinary in every way could be used. for the blessing of
His people in poor, persecuted China.”
