I have had health problems all my life. I have had many surgeries and illnesses, but I also have learned to overcome them and not let them overcome me. Paul also had health problems and also people problems, but he learned to be content (Phil. 4:11). “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Rom.5:2-5). These Scriptures teach us to trust in the Lord even during our hard times. My hands are my voice and at times as I signed I suffered. My problem was caused by a vertebra birth defect that pinched my nerves. I had several replaced vertebrae with special bones (from dead people). I wore a neck brace for several weeks. I have had to overcome these health problems all my life, but the Lord has been with me each time to help me overcome them. We must learn that during our hard times, the Lord promises to be with us, and with His help we can overcome (Heb. 13:5-6). I am deaf and I have overcome, and so can you! Trust God and learn that the deaf can do it!
