Some are Unaware of the Unusual, Unique, Universal, Unlimited, Utmost, and Urgent Spiritual and Ministry needs of Deaf people.

I have often said, “The greatest need of Deaf people is not to hear, but to be saved. In Heaven they will hear forever. What is the Lord’s plan to reach the Deaf for Christ? His first words were, Come follow me, and I will make you fishers of men (soul-winners). His last words were, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (person)” (Mark 16:15; Matt. 28:20). Notice the plan of God to “Come” and then “GO.” When you come to the Lord, He makes you to become Christians, evangelists, teachers, preachers, soul-winners, and missionaries for one purpose – to edify the church and evangelize the world (Eph. 4:11-12). The plan is to go into all the world, which also includes the world of the Deaf. Note the first two letters of Gospel is GO. The plan of God is to (1) Preach the Gospel, and (2) Teach them. The purpose of Christianity is to produce more Christians who will also go to the unsaved, preach to them and teach them. There is no other plan. It has been said that when the Lord ascended to Heaven, the angels asked Him, “The way of salvation is now finished, but who will go tell the world?” The Lord could say, “I sent my disciples to go into all the world, and to preach the Gospel and teach them.” “As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you (John 20:20).” The angels could say, “But what if they fail?” The Lord could say, “I have no other plan.

When God sees the world of Deaf people, He sends certain Christians, both Deaf and hearing, to GO to them. Deaf people can best reach the deaf because they share their language and culture. He does not call and send everyone to go unto the Deaf, but He does call some. How do I know? He called me. And thank God He has called and is still calling others. Will you “Come” and then “GO”? There are still only a few involved in God’s Great Commission, which includes the Deaf world. God still calls, but some do not listen. Do you know sign language? Go! See the unreached and unsaved deaf people in your area. It seems the spiritual needs of deaf people are either forgotten, ignored, or neglected. Many churches are unaware of this unusual, unique, universal, unlimited, utmost and urgent need of deaf ministry. Deaf people are in all countries of the world. Someone needs to learn their language and culture and tell them about Christ. It is good to have deaf fellowships, food, and fun. But these fade quickly and Deaf people remain unsaved. Deaf people need the Gospel. No one is saved without the Gospel – No one (Rom. 1:16). Again, the greatest need of the deaf is to be saved. Keep the main thing, the main thing. Deaf people have eternal souls, families, and friends. They die the same as others. But it is sad that many deaf people have already died, or will die without one opportunity to be saved. Why? No one told them. Some Deaf people in your area do not even have a church. Many Deaf worldwide are still unreached and unsaved. My burden has always been to witness to all Deaf people I meet, because I may be the only witness they will ever have. One deaf boy did not know the name of his two-year-old sister. He said, “No one told me.” I think of the day when all unsaved Deaf will stand before the Lord. Some may be able to say, “No one told me.” The plan of God is to go into all the world and tell them. This includes the Deaf in your world. If you do not tell them, who will? Will you join with us and go tell the Deaf “More about Jesus”? [ ] Yes I will GO!
