“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
— John 3:16
“For God so loved the world.” The world in this verse means people. This verse could easily read, “For God so loved the Germans or Italians.” It could easily read, “For God so loved the deaf, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever (includes deaf) believeth in him should not perish (in Hell), but have everlasting life (in Heaven).” Using this thought, we can see that there are some things that God wants the
deaf to know. God understands deaf culture.
GOD WANTS ALL DEAF TO KNOW GOD
In the deaf schools it is against the law to teach the Bible and about God. The Bible is the only book that teaches about God. Many parents of deaf children do not know Sign Language. How can the deaf know about God? Deaf people are being educated about math, English, science and history but who will teach them about God.
God Wants All Deaf People to Know…
HE IS GOD – Many people believe that God is dead. Some people don’t believe there is a God. Some people say maybe there is a God. Some people believe there are many gods. Some people make their god out of wood or rocks. These gods are called idols. The Bible calls a person a fool who does not believe in God. “The fool hath (has) said in his heart, There is no God” (Psalm 14:)1. Do you believe there is a God?
GOD CREATED ALL THINGS – God is the Creator of all things. He created (made from nothing) all things. God created earth, heaven, and all living things. Without God there would be no life. God created the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve. All people are born from Adam and Eve. You can read about the creation in Genesis (chapters 1-3).
GOD IS ETERNAL – The Bible teaches that God is the Alpha (Beginning) and the Omega (End). God is eternal. Eternal means time without beginning or end. God was never born. God did not have a father and mother. God never had a beginning, and He will never have an end. God will never die. God has always lived in the past without a beginning. God will always live in the future without end.
Write: Psalm 90:2: “Before the M_________ were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the E_______ and the W________, even from E__________ to E_________, thou art G____.”
GOD IS SPIRIT – This means God does not have a body. God does see you, know you and love you. He is God, but He is also an understanding God that cares for you. You cannot see God. You cannot touch God. You cannot feel God but God is real. God is different than man. God is not like man. God is Spirit.
Write: John 4:24: “G_____ is a S________: and they that worship him must worship H____ in spirit and in truth.”
GOD IS EVERYWHERE AT THE SAME TIME – This means that God is omnipresent or everywhere at the same time. The Devil is not omnipresent. The Devil is not in all places at the same time. God is in all places at the same time. God can be in California, Florida, Michigan, China, England and Africa at the same time. God knows you. There are over six billion people in the world but God knows every person. God knows you. You cannot hide from God. God is everywhere at all times.
Write: Jeremiah 23:24: “Can any H______ himself in S_______places that I shall not see him? saith the L______.
Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the L_______.”
GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING – God does not need to study or read to have knowledge. God knows what you are thinking right now. God knows what you do in the dark or at noon. God knows your thought and mind. God understands all languages, even Sign Language. God does not become smarter or more intelligent. He is always the same. He is God. You cannot fool God. God knows everything.
Write: Psalm 94:11: “The L______ K_________ the thoughts of man.”
GOD IS HOLY – Holy means that God is without sin. God never had a bad idea or thought. God never did a wrong action. God is without sin. God is perfect. God is Holy.
Write: Leviticus 19:2: “For I the L______ your G____ am H_______.”
GOD IS LOVE – The Bible does not say that God becomes love, but that God is love. God loves the world
(all people). He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to save all who would accept His gift. God loves a world full of people who are bad (sinners). No one is too bad for God to love. God’s love is greater than your sin. God loves you. God is love.
Write: 1 John 4:16: “And we have known and believed the L______ that God hath to us. G_____ is L________; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
