GOD WANTS ALL DEAF TO KNOW ABOUT SIN
God wants all deaf people to know that they are sinners the same as all people. There is no difference in people with God. All people are the same. Black, white, red and yellow people are the same with God. There is no difference. Poor, rich, young or old people are all the same with God. Kings, Queens, Presidents or poor people are the same with God. There is no difference. All people are born in sin and are sinners. What does the Bible teach about sin?
WHAT IS SIN? Sin is a wrong act, thought or deed. All people including deaf people have sin. “If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us” (I John 1:l0). Sin is doing wrong. Sin is really saying, “I don’t need God. I don’t need God’s rules. I will do as I please.” This is disobedience (not obey). This is sin. All (including deaf) people have sin. God is perfect, but all people are sinners. You are not perfect. You have done bad things. You have lied. The Bible says that all people are sinners. This means you. You do not become a sinner but you are born a sinner. No one teaches children how to be bad. Children are born wrong and need to learn to do right. You were
born in sin. All have sin; this includes you. You have sin!
Write: Romans 3:23: “For A______ have S_________, and come short of the glory of God.”
HOW DID SIN BEGIN? – The answer to this question is found only in the Bible. Many years ago God created (made) the earth. A long time ago, God created (made) many, many angels. God made one angel to rule all the other angels. God made this angel very, very beautiful. This angel was very wise. This angel could sing. This angel was perfect. This angel had beautiful clothes. This angel’s name was Lucifer (The Devil). (Read Isaiah 14:12- 15; Ezekiel 28:12-15) Lucifer became very proud. The Devil said, “I will become God. I will rule the angels. I will rule the earth.” But God put Lucifer out of heaven. Lucifer (devil) began the first sin. Later, God created Adam and Eve. God made a beautiful garden. God put Adam and Eve in the garden. God told Adam and Eve they could eat of all trees except (but) one. Adam and Eve could not eat the fruit of one tree. God made Adam and Eve perfect. God would come in the evening and talk with Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were very happy. (Read Genesis 3:1-6). The devil, using the body of a snake, came to the garden. The devil began talking to Eve. The devil said, “Did God say you couldn’t eat the fruit of the trees?” Eve said, “Yes, we can eat of all the trees except one. We can’t eat the fruit of that one tree. If we eat, we will die.” The devil said, “That is a lie. You will not die. God knows if you eat the fruit of that one tree, you will be as smart as God.” The fruit was pretty, and it would make her (Eve) wise. Eve saw the fruit, took the fruit, then tasted the fruit.
Eve then gave the fruit to Adam, and he ate it. Adam and Eve sinned. They disobeyed God. God gave a choice, to obey God or not to obey God. Adam and Eve made the wrong decision. Adam and Eve sinned. Sin entered the human race (people). Ever since Adam and Eve sinned, now ALL babies born are sinners. All have sin because of Adam. Our first parents caused all the people born from them to be sinners. The Bible says there are no people that do good (Romans 3:10-12). The Bible says if we think we have no sin, we are wrong (I John 1:8). We call God a liar if we say we have no sin (I John 1:10).
Write: Romans 5:12: “Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) S____ E______ into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that A___ have S________.”
WHAT IS PUNISHMENT FOR SIN? – God has made rules for all to obey. When you don’t obey, you sin. God must punish your disobedience. The Bible says that punishment for sin is death.
Write: Romans 6:23. “The W______ of S______ is death…”
WHAT ARE WAGES OF SIN? – The meaning of “wage” is pay, earn or punish for sin. All are punished with death. God told Adam that if he ate the fruit, he would die. Adam died [Genesis 5:5]. Now all People die. . This is the law of God. Because of sin all will die.
Write: Romans 5:12. “Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and D______ by sin; and so D______ passed upon A___ men, for that A___ have S_______.”
GOD WANTS ALL DEAF TO KNOW SALVATION
What is salvation? – Salvation, save and saved all mean the same thing. Salvation is an act or work of God to forgive sin and save people from Hell. You cannot save yourself. You need a Saviour. You cannot can go to Heaven without salvation. God hates sin, but God loves you. God wants all to live in Heaven with Him. God made only one way for you to go to Heaven. The way to Heaven is Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Jesus died and rose from death to forgive your sin.
God will forgive you if you will do these three things:
- Tell God, “I am a sinner, I have done bad things.”
- Accept Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and save you.
- Tell others (confess) that you have believed or accepted Jesus.
Write: Romans 10:9,10: “if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt B_________in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be S_________. For with the h_________ man believeth unto righteousness; and with the m________ confessions is made unto S________.”
CHRISTIANS ALSO SIN – After you are saved you are not perfect. The sin of Adam has been forgiven. You are now a son not a sinner. You will sin and do wrong again. You do not need to be saved again, but you do need to be forgiven of your sins. Your Heavenly Father will forgive you, if you will be sorry for your sin and confess them to God. God will cleanse and forgive your sins as a Christian.
Write: I John 1:9: “If we (Christians) C________ our S_____, he (God) is faithful and just to F______ us our S_____, and to C________ us from all unrighteousness.”
If Christians do not confess sins, God must chasten (punish) them. Why? Because God loves you and wants you to do right. The word punish means to correct from wrong to right, as a father corrects his child, God also corrects His children. You may become sick. You may have problems. You may be in a car accident. God may let you die. God knows how to punish you when you refuse to confess. You can stop the correction when you confess your sins. It is important to confess before God starts His correction. Some Christians wait too late. Example: David, Lot, Peter, Samson, etc.
Write: Hebrews 12:6-8: “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth (punishes), and scourgeth (whips) E_______ S______ whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with S________ (not sinners); for what S______ is he whom the father chasteneth not?”
