JUBILEE – In Israel every 50th year was celebrated as the Year of Jubilee (Lev. 25:28). A trumpet blast called the people to stop work for one year and devote it to worship. It was a year to remember that God is owner of everything.
JUDGMENT – It is used in the Bible as a time to judge things done wrong. At least seven judgments are mentioned in the Bible: Judgment of sin upon the cross, Judgment of Christians, Judgment Seat of Christ, Judgment of self, Judgment of nations, Judgment of Israel, and the Great White Throne Judgment of the unsaved.
JUSTIFICATION – An act whereby the grace of God declares a guilty sinner to become righteous (made right) because of the shed blood of Christ (Romans 5:9).
LAMB – The lamb is used as a symbol of Jesus Christ who became the Lamb of God, a substitute sacrificed to take away the sins of the world (John 1:29). Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God was the last sacrifice for sin. No one is saved without Christ – No one!
LAW – A rule or principle established and governed by authority. Man makes laws that change, but God’s laws do not change. God is the ultimate Authority. Law appears at least 200 times in the NT. In the OT Law refers to the Mosaic Covenant and the Ten Commandments.
