
What’s Up? SWM’s Missionaries Bud & Jenna Ring (CANADA) recently taught sign language at New Testament Baptist Church in Halifax, Nova Scotia, followed by a Deaf Day on Saturday. Along with the sign language students, eleven deaf attended. The Rings will be attending the Toronto Deaf Expo on August 24-29. There is a potential of meeting hundreds of Deaf people with hopes of sharing the Gospel and making known the many resources for Deaf people that Silent Word Ministries has to offer. What’s Up? The deaf ministry at Ocean View Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach, SC, recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. Margene Todd, who began this ministry, has continued faithfully serving these many years. She loves the Deaf people and they love her and are thankful for her faithful service. What’s Up? The 36th annual Deaf Baptist Ladies Retreat is October 5-7, 2023, hosted by SWM’s Terry Bracelin/Valley Forge Baptist Temple. Theme, “God’s Special Blend of Teas.” Place: Mt. What’s Up? Deaf friend, Crystal White, Willow-Hill Baptist Church, Willoughby, Ohio. visited SWM. She and her husband, Randy, are faithful servants of the Lord. Ted & Carlene Camp met Crystal in 1996 at a Fantastic Saturday meeting in which she surrendered her life to serve the Lord. Thank you, Crystal, for your faithfulness.

at’s Up? Keith & Johnette Barton, Palm Springs Drive Baptist Church, Altamonte Springs, FL, surprised longtime friends, Jon & Diane Barr, with a visit to SWM. They enjoyed sharing memories of their past ministry with the deaf.

What’s Up? J.T. & Rebekah Gorham, will be serving the Lord for 4 weeks in Togo and Benin (Africa) in August. They look forward to preaching and teaching in Deaf camps, helping start a new Deaf school, conducting discipleship and leadership training, and much more.
