What’s Up? Missionary to the Deaf Bob Himes, Bill Rice Ranch Missions, is recovering nicely from his shoulder surgery. He is able to teach using only his left hand. Please pray for a speedy and complete recovery. He is planning two deaf camps which will be May 11-15, and May 25-28, 2020. Tyler Thornton from the Bill Rice Ranch will be the guest speaker. It will be his first visit to the Philippines.

What’s Up? Greetings to Don & Marion Webb, Upland, Indiana, long-time friends of the Deaf and Silent Word Ministries. They served the deaf at El Vista Baptist Church, Peoria, Illinois for many years. Don will celebrate his 90th birthday in March, and they will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary in May. They are faithful servants of the Lord and godly examples of lives well lived.

What’s Up? Sympathy to the family of William (Bill) Bennett (88) who passed away, after a year of serious health issues, on November 19, 2019. He had a full and productive life, pastored several churches in Georgia and Florida and, along with his late wife, Ruth, raised three sons. David, director of Silent Word Ministries International, Dan, a missionary to the Deaf in Brazil and Tim, a businessman in the Atlanta area. He was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, pastor as well as a great grandfather, and a dear friend to Silent Word Ministries. He is greatly missed.

What’s Up? Congratulations to Missionary to the Deaf Maria Podbereski (deaf herself), Vicksburg, Mississippi. On January 12, 2020, she celebrated 34 years serving as a missionary. She is a bold and brave servant and in 2019, she lead 112 souls to Christ. She loves her service dog, AJ, and is very dependent on him. God bless you Maria for all you do for others.
