What’s Up? Sympathy to the family of James “Pat” Patrick Bracelin (85), Spring City, PA, who passed away on September 24, 2020. He was the father of and hero to SWM’s Jim Bracelin. He was a faithful and active member of Valley Forge Baptist Temple, Collegeville, PA. A friend wrote of him, “Pat Bracelin was a ‘man after God’s own heart’…the testimony of his life pointed to his relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was an example for his kids and grandkids!” Pat Bracelin was a friend to Silent Word Ministries and a faithful supporter of his son’s (Jim & Terry) ministry to the Deaf. Yes, he is greatly missed!

SWM’s Larry & Diana Galyen’s son, Benjamin, after an effective short-term ministry in the United Kingdom, has returned to the States to raise support to return to the UK as a permanent missionary. She is the only Deaf person in a nursing home in that city. Because of Covid, she has not been able to have visitors since March. The Bracelins and Allen visited with her through the window. What’s Up? “Heart Language” is a new book by Pastor Randy Dignan, Bible Baptist Church, Jefferson City, Missouri. Imagine a silent world where one “hears” differently… a world where the “hearing ear” is not used but rather a “listening heart.” Randy‘s parents were deaf. Their deafness did not hinder communication but rather gave him insight into different ways of communicating. Look into the deaf world and the Bible to learn to communicate with “Heart Language.” Book available through Amazon or directly from the author, bbcjc.com. (Note: Randy send me one – TC).
What’s Up? This baby picture is the 12th grandchild of Pastor Mark & Jan Coleman (Bethel Baptist-Schaumburg, IL), the 3rd child of Charis & Hank Cook.Daphne Helen Myrtle was born Sunday morning, October 4, 2020. Congratulations to all!!!!

Among many other accomplishments, he was chairman of the deacon board at Bible Baptist Church and along with his wife directed the deaf ministry. He was a faithful Christian, father, husband, and business man. He will be greatly missed by many.
What’s Up? Congratulations to SWM’s home office missionary, Tabitha Beam, serving with SWM since 2011. She is a very valuable asset. All these years, she has been renting an apartment which was adequate, but recently God has amazingly provided a house. She is excited about moving for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. Her mantra is “Truly Blessed.” Here is more proof that she is.
What’s Up? Ethan Schrock, a young man from the St, Louis, Missouri area, stopped by recently to visit SWM. He is very interested in and has a heart for Deaf ministry. He hopes to have the opportunity in the very near future for more training and education. SWM is thankful for his heart for the Deaf as more men are needed in this unique ministry.
What’s Up? Missionaries to the Deaf Chris & Lucinda Radebaugh, South Africa, request prayers for their grandson, Seth Mitchell. He is having another issue with his heart. Previous surgery was a good success, and his heart has been working well. A recent ultrasound revealed a narrowing of arteries which could lead to a blood clot. Please pray for wisdom for doctors and God’s healing.
