What’s Up? SWM Office Missionary, Tabitha Beam, was honored for 10 years of faithful missionary service to the Lord with Silent Word Ministries. She has helped distribute and send thousands of Bible courses, booklets, videos, and Gospel tracts. Also, she edits literature, coordinates social media and websites, and still has time to answer the SWM phone and VideoPhone. Thank you, Tabitha!
What’s Up? The 2021 Deaf Baptist Fellowship of America honored many people for over 40 years of service to the Lord. Each received an Eagle Award: Fred Adams, Jon Barr, Sharon Bordean, Jim Bracelin, Earl Brigham, Ted Camp, Henra Clark, Bob Himes, Steve Houghton, Reggie Rempel, Bill Schutt, Lawrence Shillingburg, and Jim Sloan.
What’s Up? The Bill Rice Ranch, Murfreesboro, TN, had great summer deaf camps. Ronnie Rice, Allen Snare, David Peach, JT Gorham, and Bob Himes, were a part of the speaker/teacher team. Pictured is Deaf Week 3. Twelve Deaf accepted the Lord as Saviour that week.
What’s Up? SWM’s JT Gorham enjoyed his time with Pastor & Mrs (Sherrie) Fred Adams and the Sword Deaf Baptist Church, Clinton, TN. JT was the guest speaker as the church celebrated its 11th anniversary. It was an exciting day.
What’s Up? Congratulations to Rev Steve Houghton and his wife, Joyce (Florida), long-time workers with the Deaf, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 19, 2021.
What’s Up? At the recent DBFA meeting in Atlanta, GA, Ted Camp met up with a long-time deaf friend, Robert Johnson, Ball Ground, GA. They met in the 70’s at the Georgia School for the Deaf. It was a fun reunion.

What’s Up? Pastor & Mrs (Carol) Ronnie King, and the Quail Run Deaf Baptist Church, Oro Valley, AZ, celebrated the church’s 15th anniversary in June 2021. Because of Covid in 2020 they could not meet so postponed to 2021. The cake says 15 + 1. Carol says the day was a “blast.”

What’s Up? SWM has new roofing! The 2020 Easter Tornado (yes, 2020!) did more damage than originally known. Although temporary repairs were made at the time, the SWM insurance company recently replaced the full roofing and repaired other tornado damage! Praise the Lord! We are thankful!
What’s Up? Missionary to the Deaf, South Africa, Chris Radebaugh, is excited to announce the ordination of Munya, a graduate of Signs of Life Bible College. Munya and his wife are deaf and have been in full-time missionary service for several years supported by South African churches. Since being ordained they have started the Bulawayo Deaf Baptist Church in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
What’s Up? SWM ladies celebrated Carlene Camp’s birthday with a two-night getaway. They shared life stories and had a great time together. Happy birthday, Carlene. We love you!
